Learn about the rise in global supply chain security interest
Given the increased focus on supply chain risks, and obvious threats of terrorism, fraud and piracy, many have expected ISO 28000 to have achieved more wide-spread adoption.
There are indeed indications that this is starting to happen, with increasing use by major ports, freight carriers and some of the leading brand names, such as Dell, Sony, Walmart and Starbucks.
A recent survey conducted by the International Association for Contract & Commercial Management (IACCM) revealed strong interest in the ISO 28000 standard. However, ISO 28000 is competing for attention with many other initiatives, particularly in the risk management field.
