During the same period, certification to more recent ISO management system standards for the automotive sector (ISO/TS 16949) and the medical device sector (ISO 13485) increased by more than 60 percent.
The survey also covered the new ISO/IEC 27001 standard for information security management systems for the first time. Respondents revealed that nearly 5,800 certificates of conformity to the standard had already been issued in 64 countries.
