ISO 45001, the new International Occupational Health and Safety Management System Standard, is currently at Draft International Standard (DIS) stage which means that members of the public are being consulted about the standard for the first time.
The standard, which will be the first internationally agreed Occupational Health and Safety Management System standard, is on track to be published in October 2016 based on the latest publically available information, with the DIS ballot beginning in February.
Steve Williams, LRQA System and Governance Manager, said, “Feedback during the comment phase is invaluable for the Project Committee, ISO/PC 283, as it helps to ensure that the international standard is fit for purpose. This is a great opportunity for everyone involved in management systems to get involved and shape the standards for the future.”
